The Estimator/Quoter of CNC Machined components is responsible for quoting all jobs, planning work flow, and providing complete and accurate estimates to customers.
Works with supply chain team to coordinate commodities needed for manufacturing at Owens Machine & Tool Co.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Quotes machined components and assemblies using software based ERP/MRP system Plans Jobs/Builds Manufacturing Routers in M1 software system Updates / refreshes pricing and quote elements as required to meet customer needs and due dates Enters data into customers' online systems Seeks out the best vendor and supplier to fulfill needs of jobs, plant, and customers Participates in Investigation and approval of all suppliers Participates in ordering materials, tools, supplies, and gages as need for job related functions by coordinating with buyers Ensures all quote elements and components meet given criteria per P.

flow requirements from customer Participates in contract review prior to sending out to vendors, and after receipt of orders to ensure compliance with all specifications Enters all M1 info on jobs, vendors, and suppliers Monitors all aspects of materials, certifications, and purchasing/receiving for correct operation per ISO/AS requirements Works with supply chain department on sourcing materials, tooling, hardware, and outside process vendors Schedules JIT delivery of materials for phased projects Oversees consumables on jobs to coordinate consumption on orders Replenishes tooling based on consumption rate and optimized inventories Strong emphasis on accurate, complete, and timely submissions of estimates and quotations REQUIREMENTS:
10 years experience as a CNC machinist Experience dealing with CNC manufacturing to both commercial and military specifications Extensive knowledge in blueprint reading and machining processes.
Must be able to evaluate quotes as to price validity and appropriate range Extensive knowledge in materials, castings, forgings, and extrusions.
Expertise with M1 ERP system a plus; must have experience with a software based quoting/estimating program Job Type:
