Summary:
The Risk Business Analyst is responsible for evaluating, validating and reconciling Quality Control Credit and Compliance testing data and working in conjunction with Risk Analytics to develop and maintain all internal and external reports for the Quality Control and Compliance testing teams. The primary responsibilities of the person in this position will be to ensure all Quality Control and Compliance testing reporting is accurate and meets the needs of the intended audience. Job
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Risk Business Analyst is to ensure all testing data is reconciled and reporting is accurate. The Risk Business Analyst will also assist the QC and Compliance leaders with trending and root cause analysis. The key responsibilities are as follows:
Selects reoccurring sample for QC and Compliance Ensuring monthly testing data is accurate; sample sizes in reporting database match sample sizes selected for audit, defect counts match system of record, calculations are accurate Implement all compliance related system changes, including federal and state document and fee changes Ensure all compliance related system changes are successfully implemented by given deadline Manage compliance portion of new product rollouts, including federal and state documents and fee configurations Manage compliance portion for new Joint Ventures and/or Preferred Partners, including federal and state documents and fee configurations Support continuous improvement of existing processes to reduce regulatory risk and improve business experience Manage team of User Acceptance Testers responsible for system testing for all tasks relating to federal and state documents and fees Analyze reports for aesthetics and presentation Analyze defects for trends, root cases and responsible parties Develop new reports designed to present results of new audits or to provide granular detail when warranted Maintain all reporting to ensure relevant, accurate and complete Monitors system releases and implications to ensure expected functionality Desired Skills, Experience, or Education:
The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of mortgage underwriting guidelines and experience in managing the post-closing quality control process. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field preferred. 5 years Mortgage operations 2 -5 years quality control/compliance testing Experience in preparing detailed reporting for executive leadership Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven experience in developing and maintaining reports. Ability to research, evaluate, and interpret testing results and to effectively communicate these to determine trends and root cause Excellent organization and time management skills. Ability to interface confidently with internal and external colleagues as well as executives and to influence others within the organization to drive results
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Auditing & Compliance, Risk & Quantitative AnalysisEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
