Construction Estimator We're looking for someone to hit the ground running! We need someone who has experience with taking actual measurements as part of the takeoffs and estimating.
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team.
Must have 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating.
Must have excellent analytical skills, experience reviewing blueprints and drawings and have experience within the construction industry.
As an Estimator, you will play an important role in our organization by providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
Responsibilities Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc.
to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
Develop a project schedule from bid document information.
Prepares cost estimates and bid documents for construction projects or services that are used by management in preparation of the bidding process.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of estimate and proposals.
Provide complete conceptual (or bid work) and final estimating input on complex projects.
Qualifications High School Diploma (or equivalent experience and training) with related college degree preferred.
3 to 5 or more years of experience successfully estimating.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient computer application skills (Excel, Word, estimating software, etc.
) Schedule, run and effectively document meetings.
Identify, review and communicate contractual requirements with supervisors and develop an action plan for the estimate and project construction.
Must have specific experience with material takeoffs or construction takeoff to provide accurate estimates for a project's cost.
