EDI Programmer Analyst

Our Temperature Control Segment manufactures and distributes a full line of critical components for the temperature control (air conditioning and heating) systems, engine cooling systems, power window accessories and windshield washer systems of motor vehicles.
We sell our products primarily to automotive aftermarket retailers, program distribution groups, warehouse distributors, original equipment manufacturers and original equipment service part operations in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Mexico and other Latin American countries.
We employ approximately 4,300 people in North America, Europe and Asia.
Job Description and
Responsibilities:
Standard Motor Products in looking for an experienced EDI Programmer to join our Information Technology department.
The ideal candidate will need a full understanding of EDI transactional sets (both ANSI-X12 and EDIFACT), EDI mapping, testing, and trouble shooting.
iSeries RPGLE/ IBM SQL experience is a requirement and JDE World experience as it relates to EDI is strongly desired.
Experience dealing with the manufacturing of aftermarket car parts is a plus.

Responsibilities:
Support customers and internal staff Perform data mapping and modification, programming, troubleshooting Handle communication issues and setup Perform trading partner setup Create physical and logical files Setup Inovis X-Ref tables Works with other EDI programmers and coordinator to implement/modify maps Handle issues with EDI documents caused by data issues with our system or by the customer Liaison with customers to troubleshoot and correct EDI documents Work with customer service and warehouse to resolve EDI issues Write and update programs, SQL's, and create JDE DW's to support EDI documents Get EDI specs from customer so that they can accurately change programs to correct issues.
Troubleshoot any recurring production issues with EDI as it relates to our database Write map user exit programs Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience iSeries RPG/RPGLE programming required 3-5 years mapping and EDI experience Hands on experience with EDI software (Open Text) JDEdwards World experience required Experience in OE/OES manufacturing essential Experience with ANSI-X12 and EDIFACT standards Experience with Turnover and Trackit preferred Good communications skills and analytical and problem solving skills; good organizational skills.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret situations and adjust effort accordingly.
