The Chevy handyman wagon has been referred to by some as the poor man's Nomad.
These are great cars that are similar in body style to the high end Nomads, but were used by people in the 50s for their businesses.
This is a very nice example that runs and drives great.
It's been upgraded with all of the conveniences and is selling at a great price.
FEATURES INCLUDE:
350 ci V-8- Reuilt.
30 over 10/10 TH700 R4 transmission - Rebuilt Front Tubular A Frames Sway Bars Front and Rear 4 Core Aluminum Radiator Air Conditioning Power Steering Power Brakes - Discs Front, Drums Rear New Windshield and Side Glass New Window Channel Tilt Steering Wheel New Gas Tank Under the doors it looks good.
We found no rust.
The original vin tag is intact.
It shows that the car was an original V-8, 210, built in Baltimore Maryland.
The dash looks original on the 57.
It's in very good condition.
There is a bit of a dent under the lights and wiper knobs.
The gauges work and are in good condition.
There has been an aftermarket tilt steering wheel installed.
The after market heat and air work from the original controls.
The upholstery and headliner look good.
There is one little area on the passenger side rear where there was a bit of a miscalculation in cutting the vinyl, so they just covered it with an extra piece.
Under the hood sits the 350 cu in V-8 which was rebuilt and was bored 30 over.
This car runs great.
It has a manual choke, but we have never had to use it.
It starts every time and has had no leaks while in the showroom.
The original trim tag shows that the car is a 57 station wagon 2 door.
It also shows it to have been India Ivory and Matador Red from the factory with charcoal and ivory vinyl interior.
The 4 core aluminum radiator keeps this car running cool.
You can see that there is no rust down in the area of the core support.
The undercarriage looks to be unrestored.
It's very solid except for 2 of the rear body to frame pieces which each have a hole in them.
Other than that, it looks pretty good.
You can see that tubular A frames in the front which look newly installed.
The rockers look good with no rust.
In certain light, you will see the color difference from the hood to the front fenders.
All in all, this is a very nice handyman.
It will make someone a really nice driver.
Everything works on the car, and it's a pleasure to drive.
Be sure to watch the video.
We drive it over railroad tracks and she hardly makes a sound.
Again, please call Maris at 214-616-2317 with questions.
I will be happy to assist you with financing and shipping if you would like either.
